OBJ spites fire! There can never be any election annulment, I won't accept any interim government

Erm... was GEJ planning to annul the elections? I understand that former president Olusegun Obasanjo is a concerned elder statesman, but making comments that may incite tension is totally uncalled for. According, him, he will not allow any plans to set up an interim government after the elections.

He said this while addressing a group of Concerned Nigerians who visited him at his home in Abeokuta, Ogun state this morning, about their fears for the coming elections, PMNews reports.

"You need not to worry about anything. There can never be any June 12 annulment again. Buhari is not Abiola, he is a trained and highly intelligent soldier. Oyegun is not Anenih, Osinbajo is not Kingibe. Jega is not Nwosu, Jonathan is not IBB and this time around, Obasanjo will not support any interim government. Obasanjo will rather support a free, fair and credible election," he reportedly stated.

Actress Mercy Johnson Okojie and her daughter, Purity boarded a train to Ikeja during what she called a "traffic emergency" on Monday. The photos from her train travel from Ebute Metta to Ikeja went viral, and now, she feels the need to suffer us with a lengthy explanation why she boarded a Lagos.

By the why, what is wrong with a girl letting down her hair if its in a Lagos train? At least, Purity obviously had mad fun. And for those thinking its a publicity stunt, think what you may, but Mercy says her Range Rover broke down and since she's one of the masses, she had to run off with heels to hop on a train.  How sweet of her to identify with "ordinary people," abi? Below is what she said:
"My picture and that of my daughter, Purity in a Lagos train has surfaced online and quite a number of people have asked me what I was doing in a train and in Lagos for that matter; not Paris or London.

"I was around Iddo at Ebute Metta when my Range Rover developed a mechanical fault and I had to make a very important appointment in Ikeja regardless of the usual traffic congestion in Lagos. Luckily, a member of my management team was around, he suggested a train ride and we were in Ikeja in less than 30 minutes but that is not the crux of this statement...

Actress Toyin Aimakhu reponds to fans outburst over "I can die for PDP" statement

Following the 'MeetThePresident' event which held on Sunday in Lagos and co-hosted by Toyin Aimakhu and comedian Bovi, fans came after Toyin for stating she can die for the PDP.

Many fans felt who felt disappointed about her utterance, took to twitter to drag her in the mud. Now, Toyin has released a statement, explaining why she said what she did. She also added that she cannot in anyway die for any political party, and that it is absurd that people took her word out of context.
"Our country has given its citizens the right to freedom of speech and right to vote and be voted for, I’m most definitely not an exception. As of 1999, Nigeria has about 29 political parties, allowing every citizen to choose at their own free will. It is then left to us not to undermine the decision or choices of others as it is loathsome. We live in a world where people take pleasure in bringing other people down. I feel obliged to address the matter of me dying for the PDP. Firstly, no one is dying for anyone and the last time I checked only Jesus had died for us with no strings attached or money promised to his family when he’s gone.
